Mastectomy And Breast Reconstruction
October 2, 2014
Breast cancer can be an extremely difficult experience for a woman, and a mastectomy is often also involved.
A mastectomy is a procedure that is performed to remove breast cancer, and while the extent of the surgery depends on the severity and reach of the cancer, in most cases all of the breast tissue, the nipple, and areola are removed. Breast cancer, followed by a mastectomy, can be devastating.
Breast reconstruction surgery following a mastectomy can give back a sense of identity and femininity. At Mosharrafa Plastic Surgery, we treat our breast reconstruction patients with the highest level of respect and care.
