Travel To Phoenix

Dr. Ali Mosharrafa and Dr. Tamir Mosharrafa have plastic surgery patients throughout the United States, as well as patients from abroad. We aim to provide excellent care to each of our patients, whether they are local to the Phoenix area or traveling to their appointments. Our staff will work with you to coordinate your travel and care so that your procedures go as smoothly as possible.

Coordinate Your Visit to Mosharrafa Plastic Surgery

Out-of-town patients can choose to travel to Phoenix for their consultations as well as their procedures. Dr. Mosharrafa will meet with you, or review your photographs prior to plastic surgery, and arrange a consultation. You will be contacted by our Patient Care Coordinator, and she will advise you of all applicable fees, as well as the plan for the surgery. She will also suggest post-operative care accommodations, as well as discuss your proposed length of stay in Phoenix.

Flying In

Phoenix is served by the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX), located just 15 minutes from our office. If you are flying in for your procedure, please remember that it is not recommended to fly within a week after your surgery. Our Patient Care Coordinator can help you make arrangements for a safe recovery in the Phoenix area before you return home.

Coordinated Visits Via Telehealth

Telehealth appointments are ideal for individuals who would like to combine their consultation and surgery in one trip to Phoenix. You must arrive at least 48 hours prior to your surgery.

When traveling to Phoenix for plastic surgery, to facilitate communication and to expedite treatment, we recommend that the initial cosmetic surgery consultation and surgery be coordinated.   We do this by reviewing your photographs and conducting a telehealth visit appointment to discuss the initial findings and recommendations. This coordinated visit is ideal for the person who is looking for a single visit to Phoenix that will encompass the consult and surgery.

Photography Instructions

Digital photographs are preferred. Please advise the office that you are sending them, so that if they are not received, we may contact you.

Please adhere to the following requests for photographs:

• Breast Photographs: should include a front view and lateral (side) views taken from each side. The frame should include the area from the neck to the belly button. The arms should be at the side. The background should be plain, and the body should fill the entire frame. The camera should be level with the area being photographed.
• Abdominal Photographs: should include the entire abdomen from the collar bone to the mid-thigh. Views should include front view and full lateral views from each side.  The camera should be level with the area being photographed. The arms should be forward.  The background should be plain, and the body should fill the entire frame.
• Liposuction Photographs: should extend from the rib cage to the knees including lateral, front, and back views. The camera should be level with these photographs.  The arms should be forward. The background should be plain, and the body should fill the entire frame.
• Facial Photographs: should include front view and lateral views from each side.  It is important to not smile and keep a resting pose for these photographs. The background should be plain, and the body should fill the entire frame.

Scheduling Your Surgery

You will be contacted by our Patient Care Coordinator, and she will advise you of all applicable fees, as well as the plan for the surgery. She will also suggest post-operative care accommodations, as well as discuss your proposed length of stay in Phoenix.

Once you have determined that you wish to proceed with the proposed surgery, we may then schedule your procedure. Our Patient Care Coordinator will help you secure a convenient date.

A deposit will be required to secure the date, and final payment will be collected at the pre-operative visit. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards and offer financing.

You should allow one hour for your preoperative visit to allow for a proper examination and the delivery of all pertinent clinical information.

All patients have their surgery performed in our fully accredited outpatient surgery facility, where we take every measure to ensure the highest level of safety and comfort.

Surgical Recovery

Dr. Mosharrafa will discuss the length of time that is necessary to stay in the Phoenix area after your surgery. The amount of time varies depending on the operation that you choose, and the length of travel.  It is important to allow for the proper amount of time to ensure a healthy and safe recovery. Your post-operative visits will be coordinated into the required length of stay. Your health and safety will remain our number one priority.
